The BYNDery is a three-woman team and family run business, dedicated to bringing you beautifully filthy romance stories wrapped in gorgeously designed hardcovers you can be proud to display on your shelves. Each special edition is designed in collaboration with authors to uphold the integrity of their creative work while celebrating their fans love of their characters and stories. It was our love and passion to read, and our openness to share our beloved books, that inspired us to create The BYNDery and has made our bond stronger as the years go on. While our family and friendship histories span the majority of our lives, the story of The BYNDery starts roughly a decade ago with a phone call.

At 5am on a Tuesday Morning Natalie was sleeping, blissfully unaware that the trajectory of life was about to change for her and her Best Friends. She woke up to her phone ringing and groggily answered the call. On the other end was Jess, disgustingly awake and so excited to talk about the books she just finished. So, Natalie listened to Jess enthusiastically spoil the entire plot of two books as she made her coffee. By the end of that phone call, at 10am, Natalie was in her car on the way to borrow those books.

Fast forward several years later, Mandee began to rediscover her love for reading and was given the book series discussed in that fateful phone call. To the horror of Natalie and Jess (it was a very trying time for them) Mandee procrastinated reading the series, even though they all knew she would love it, if Mandee could just get through that first book. But in a really cruel turn of fate, Mandee had to move far away from her family and friends. The distance was awful for everyone, but especially Mandee. In a moment of gross sentimentality, missing her friends and family deeply, Mandee (finally!) read the books that Natalie and Jess were so sure she’d love. To NO ONE’S surprise, Mandee fell madly in love with them. Mandee still doesn’t regret all the “I TOLD YOUs” she had to listen to. That one book series began a non-stop communion with each other, giving book recs, sharing our thoughts and feelings about books, and very early on deciding we weren’t going to fight over book boyfriends, husbands, and mates. Best friends knew how to share and were not opposed to being fictional sister wives.

Our love of books and pretty covers inspired Mandee to learn how to bind books, and with her friends and family’s encouragement, she began creating custom covers for people under the BYNDery name. She cultivated an amazing community that loves her art and the custom binding she did. With her customers overwhelming support and her dreadful need to limit how many people were able to use the BYNDery’s services at one time, Mandee came up with the crazy idea to expand The BYNDery with Natalie and Jess’s help. Using the unique talents and skills of all three Best Friends, The BYNDery was able to launch a book subscription box featuring fully licensed, professionally printed, special edition books of spicy open door romances. Our books include all the luxury features that, as fans and for fans, we wish every book ever published would have.

The BYNDery goes beyond just books and is so much more than a business to us. We are best friends, we are actual family, we are book lovers that are empowered by this community that we get to call home. What started out as a wild and supportive love of reading has blossomed into a dream come true for the three of us. We hope you love each special edition we publish as much as we do. It is an extraordinary privilege to continue sharing our passion for books with you all, while delivering absolutely stunning designs. The community we feel with other romance readers is one of the greatest gifts we have in life. So thank you so much for being a part of that community.
